True Unity In Christ

Published by Tuts under Testimony

Cards

There are many reasons that cause people to unite within the church and out of the church. Whether the motives are right or wrong I leave that to your discretion. One of the nights we played a card game (onze), a little observation came to me. In the home I am in, there are 8 youth of different races and cultures. Continue Reading »

What could be better than living a life in complete peace in where we are? This is something which I have had a taste of. This peace comes from knowing that where we are and what we are doing is in the plan of our Lord. Continue Reading »

Well what can I say? It was hot, really it was hot, no really it was extremely hot. Morning calls were way to early, I never knew life existed at that time of the morning. Oh and sleeping arrangements catering 3 course meals for all the mossies on the island, making waking up all that more “fun”!! Continue Reading »

Elders: true men of God!

Published by Dan under Testimony

I have never met a group of guys quite like these, and I do not think I ever will outside of this gospel. These men are soaked in the whole spirit of the word, and when you get to know them you can feel the same spirit in them, as when you read in the bible about the life of Paul, Peter and Timothy. They have such a heart for the Lord that they will sacrifice themselves totally in any situation for anyone, and when you are around them you can’t help but be thirsty for what they have in the Lord, in saying that walking down the road or walking into a room you will not point them out from anyone else. They are so humble and really down-to-earth. They are role models and people you can really look to for sound advice, and spiritual growth… It may never be what you want to hear but I tell you it’s always the correct answer or advice. I thank the Lord for placing me under such a powerful protection. A place I feel safe and am ready and open to grow.

Faith

Published by Tuts under Testimony

I have been greatly tested in the area of faith this past week for several days. It was not a headache, or trusting the Lord for a sunny day so I can go play touch rugby - or anything like that. It was different, concerning my decision and what I had felt in my heart before. The bible talks so much about faith but we always think that faith is something we do, don’t we? In John 20:24-29, we see an example, how good old Thomas didn’t have faith to believe that Jesus had risen and didn’t believe until he had seen, and so he believed by sight and not by faith. But Hebrews 11:1 explains it. In the times we are living in, we need to live more by what the Lord has done and has put in our hearts and not by what we see around us, what makes sense to our natural mind. So next time your faith is challenged and you are not sure believe God, go with what he has put in your heart and not what you see.
