Cameroon Missionary Trip - 13 - Our journey to Talba

Published by Sam under Mission

When we had the opportunity to meet with so many pastors, the Lord began to already link our hearts to many of them. It was great to see the hearts of some pastors as they just desired more of this gospel, without any hidden agendas. Its clear that sometimes they are people who follow pretending to be touched by the gospel, but when there is someone who is really confronted by the gospel, they are a blessing. There was a pastor who the gospel touched, you could tell by the fruits. He was a leader of a number of churchs. From the first meeting he realised they were many things he needed to change. And straight away he did make changes, and at the same time carrying the heart of the Lord. He made us visit and share in all of his churchs. One of them was at Talba. This is a tiny village in the dense forest about 4 hours from yaounde. It was an amazing experience. We were about 14 in a land cruiser, including a complete drums set, guitar, and luggage for everyone for the weekend! However, to see the people of Talba praising the Lord with all their hearts, and their love for the men of God is something special. In their simplicity they carried something special from the Lord.

That first day at the camp was really amazing. I got to experience a baptism session where they basically make a way thru the bamboo to a river, they ask the Lord to purify the water and they baptize all those who want to get baptized. They also give the opportunity to any on lookers who had just come from the village by interest. Continue Reading »
