We have just fixed the dates of the International Conference in Mauritius for this year.
Facebook and Blogs Warning!
Posted on 24 March 2009
Miki Hardy spoke to the church in Curepipe on Sunday 25th January 2009 about these communications and entertainment tools, like Facebook and personal blogs, found on the Internet, which are increasingly popular amongst the young, and even the not so young.
“In my opinion, Facebook and blogs are not only a waste of time, but they are also a trap for you,” he declared. “You spend more time on the Internet than reading the Bible.” He then went on to ask if all this writing was actually edifying, because, “Some of you might think that it’s a way to evangelise and testify about your Christian life, but is that really the case, when it could in fact be such a snare?”
He reminded everyone present that whatever is posted online, texts, photos, as well as videos, can be accessed and manipulated by anyone, and we have no idea how it can be used one day.
He particularly underlined the point that, even if we feel free to put photos of ourselves online, we can’t allow ourselves to put anyone else’s, including that of brothers and sisters, without the permission or approval of those persons. This also applies to photos of members of the church, and of CTMI. He asked that all photos on Facebook and other personal blogs that fall into this category be removed.
He added that as far as he was concerned, if we wanted to communicate, it would be better to do so by email. Finally, Miki made it clear that he was not asking anyone to stop his or her personal blogs or to quit Facebook. “It’s up to you to do as you wish, when you wish…. But I am telling you this to draw your attention to the fact that it can be a snare… a real trap!” In conclusion, he encouraged everyone to go before the Lord, so as to receive His direction on this topic.

A Leap of Faith (Part 2)
Posted on 11 July 2008
So, we on this bridge and we walking in Faith! We know the Lord is with us and we have this Faith that he will deliver us through ALL! Yes all things and every situation. There can not be things in our lives that we think are too big for Him or situations that are so complicated He would not understand. I’m pretty sure we all have an issue or two where we have just that little bit of doubt in the back of our minds and we stand back and think if He could he really do it? If he could really intervene?
We still walking on this bridge and by the way, I’m not sure if you know it yet but now we doubting God! The God that created Heaven and Earth! Who are we to doubt Him? He created us! What is Faith if we only believe in half measures? It’s got to be everything. We said earlier that we know the Lord can deliver us through all. Stop walking. A huge situation has come about. Something bigger than we’ve ever handled or experienced in our lives. Let’s walk to the edge and look over side. We can not see anything as we too high up. There is one thing we know and that is God is still with us! What if we heard His voice and it said jump! Jump into His hands and He would keep us safe. Would you do it? Do you trust Him? Now I’m not saying go jumping off bridges! This is just an example. How much Faith would you have at this time? Just remember He knows our lives before they have even happened. Do you trust Him with everything or just a bit?

We were going to face 2 severe tropical cyclones. Alert grades were climbing and suddenly all alerts stopped. One cyclone went away and the other one vanished. Amazing … Amazing God!

Psalm 46 – NLT
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Read the full story
