When you give your life to the Lord, it means He can do with your life whatever He wants.
You know sometimes as young people we can be really enthousiastic to serve the Lord and we enter every plan we see without knowing if it is what the Lord wants for us. The question I ask my self is, ‘Do I really understand what the gospel of the cross means, or is it just words that I hear and I speak about?’ You know when Jesus said that unless we have a righteousness beyond that of the Pharisees, we will not see the kingdom of God, I realise how I can be the same: full of knowledge but no reality. I’m really starting to realise that talk is cheap. When Jesus says in Matthew 16 vs 24, “If anyone would come after Me, He must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me”, this is big my friends. We really need to cry to the Lord to reveal to us the fullness of this verse so that we can truly follow Him. In 1 Corinthians 4 vs 20, Paul speaks about how the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power. May the Lord open our eyes to see.

Over the past few weeks I found my self going through a time were I felt so far from the Lord. It was very difficult because I couldn’t understand what was happening. One thing that was my strength was those times when I came to Him and poured my heart to Him. Through this I realised that they will be many times like this and the only thing that can keep us is our relationship with the Lord. My desire is for this relationship with Him to grow and that I may depend on Him more and more. May the Lord help all of us to discover His heart.
