I am the Lord; there is no other God. I have equipped your for battle, though you don’t even know me, so all the world from east to west will know there is no other God. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the Lord, am the one who does these things. “Open up, O heavens and pour out your righteousness. Let the earth open wide so salvation and righteousness can sprout up together. I, the Lord, created them. What sorrows awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’ Isaiah 45:5-9 NLT
Sometimes certain things happen in our lives and we struggle. However we need to understand that God is on the throne and that even before the day we met him he has held our lives in his hands. There is nothing that happens that he doesn’t know about. Sometimes we believe that good times come from God and hard times are from the devil. But God says he sends them both. Why would God allow difficult issues to arise on our path? Why can’t everything be great in our lives? Because when all is fine we turn away from God. When all is ok we take our lives in our hands. When all is cool we think we are fine. But when hardships come we suddenly start to bow our knees and cry to God. When we go though hard times we realise that we can only make it by God’s grace. When it’s tough, we grow. Yes, hard times turn to our good. Isn’t our goal to become like Christ? How will you become more and more like him if we don’t go though hardships?
If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24 NLT
