One of the biggest deceptions facing Christians when they desire decide to make a stand for the Lord is feeling the need to hold onto or attempting to keep, common ground with non-Christian or back-sliding friends, in where you go, what you say and what you do.
You feel that it will be your only chance or the only way that your friends will be saved.
What we need to realize is that there is nothing we can do in our own strength to get our friends to turn to God. We were saved by grace, and only by God’s grace will they be saved. So, now that it is out of our hands, we need to realize that all we can do is more and more allow God to work in us, deny ourselves, and the fruit of the Spirit is our lives will speak louder than anything we could share with them. Who can deny or doubt a changing life that they can see?
It is crazy to think that the best place for us to be to help our friends is giving our life fully and completely WITHOUT COMPROMISE! This is when God can really work.
