Time Management - 8 - A little encouragement on prayer

clock-2.jpg

Time is a resource that God has given us. The Lord allows us to decide how we want to spend our time. It’s like the parable of the talents Matthew 24: 14-30. When the master went away he left each servant with an amount and a choice. On his return each one had to give an account of what they did with the amount entrusted to them. Each one of us without exception has a twenty four hour day. It’s important for us to take stock of every hour. How do we allocate our time as children of God? Do we spend time seeking the wisdom and guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ? Does our time with the Lord take priority or is it something we do when we have nothing else to do.

We need to be good stewards of our time ‘making the most of our time because the days are evil’

Allocate some time during the day where you have no interruptions or distractions. Maybe even take a walk to get away from any distractions. Take time to worship the Lord, to exalt Him. Prayer is not always about asking God for something. Speak to the Lord know his will for you life. In Philippians 4:6- 7 Paul encourages the church ‘not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’

So my dear friends let us not forget to whom we belong. The Lord has a special plan for each one of us and as we fellowship with Him we are better equipped to handle each day in the strength and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks you very much Moses for this article. It’s so true that we need to spend more times in the prayer even if we had a busy day. I realise for myself the important of prayer and worship in my life more and more, and how it helps me in my life of everyday.

I’m very grateful about what I read and what I hear today. It’s wonderful to be in a place that we can be encouraged by The Lord everywhere at any time.

    Thanks God !
