It’s amazing how we lead such busy lives. Even when we are resting it’s as if our minds continue to work. Calculating and scheming. One thing we must not neglect is time to fellowship with the families with whom we stay. The home is not just a place to eat sleep and shower. The Lord has placed people around us to support us and to challenge us so that we can grow. God gave Jesus twelve disciples and often he would withdraw from the crowds to spend time with alone with them. The early Christians would break bread with one another strengthening each other in the faith. (Read acts 2: 40 – 47).

Fellowship not only means sitting down and chatting we can also fellowship in the home by taking time to participate in the home activities like doing chores without being asked, being sensitive to the needs in the home, going out of our way to ensure that the home is well kept.

Hebrews 10:,24,25 says ‘ Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.’

So as you plan your week make sure you schedule in some time of fellowship with those whom you stay. Don’t just get home and go about your own business. Take time to ask how everyone is, find out if there is anything you can do to help. As they say charity begins in the home.

Stay well my friends.

Last week ( It was on saturday), I got up early because I had do a long journey. I was feeling the need to pray but I didn’t, I just spoke to the Lord while I was walking down the street and when I was in the car with my aunt, she told me that she had praid this morning because she had had a feeling of insecurity. I was broken because I had disobeyed when the Lord had spoken to me. I realized that we need to stay in the palm of his hand and allow him to do what he needs to do.
Yesterday nihgt I was in my bed trying to sleep; I was thinking about a lot of things and suddenly I felt insecure and I said: ” Lord I’m going to sleep and my heart is not close to yours right now. What will happen if I die while I’m asleep?”
Moses said that we need to take the time to pray. Yess, we need to pray but we shall also make sure that our heart is close to the Lord. We do not know what will happen to us and we need to be careful. As far as I’m concerned, I often fail but I know that the Lord will help me.
    BLess you…
