Cameroon Missionary Trip – 4

cameroon-4.jpg

I slept fairly well for my first night. One of, if not, the most important physical activity when you are on mission is to be able to sleep and recuperate. I went back to the airport that morning with Jacob, pastor Fandji’s elsest son. We spent 3hrs waiting for my bag. I used that time to get to know Jacob and also what sort of situations the youth go through over there. There was the usual problem of teen pregnancies, but also the problem of abandonment ; many youth and children are just abandoned due to poverty. Shocking but true! After having spent some time with him, I found that he was very zealous to serve the Lord, but for my first time on mission (first of many times) I really felt a deep appreciation of the gospel that I have heard and received. Afterwards we went home for a meal before going of to join Clarence and Joseph at one of the pastoral meetings they were taking.
