Cameroon Missionary Trip - 7 - Meeting the Papas

When we came back to Douala, that same day we went to meet an apostle (I believe for these reports it is best i give most of the people i met a different name, to be discrete) James. He is a widely respected man of God in Douala, and only later would I find out why… He observed us very careful and was very frank when he spoke to us. We felt a large expectation on us, but i was blessed to witness how our elders spoke clearly and simply and with great wisdom so as to
win the heart of this apostle. It was amazing to see how the Lord’s grace was there, because without Him our hearts would never have been joined to this apostle in the way it did. He informed us alot of how things are done in Cameroon and offered us his help. He also invited me to come to his youth camp which he would be taking the week ahead, we agreed. After having met with apostle Lands, we went to go meet another apostle, apostle John, it was more brief, but he also imparted to us alot of wisdom about missionary work in Cameroon. Many of the Papas feared that we would a be like many other missionaries, coming to offer money and to implant a church or some weird doctrine. It wasnt always easy to convince them, but when they felt how we were carrying the pure and true gospel of Christ, His cross and His resurrection, we slowly gained their hearts. I am honored to have met so many men of God.
