Oops… we haven’t arrived!

phare

Have you ever had those good days where you feel all is well between you and the Lord? When you are going through that time, it’s as if nothing is impossible - “…you can do all things in the name of the Lord, Amen”. When you are asked to do something as service to the lord, you do it with all your might and even try to prove to everyone else that all is well. When making decisions even in small things, you don’t see the need to be helped by anyone else. Its like as if you’ve attained it, like as if you have arrived and nothing is going to stop you. Yes I’ve been through such times, where you feel that pride rising and the worst thing about such times is that your heart is so closed such that you can,t accept any help or correction.

One thing that I’m learning is that this Christian life is like a walk on a road. The only time when we will arrive is when we die or/and when we meet with the Lord. As long as we live, we have a road to take, which is the road of the cross. Its not an easy road its full of mistakes, weaknesses, rebukes, corrections and breaking s. As a young person most of the times its hard to accept these. We always think we can do it, we know all things, no one should tell us what to do, after all the spirit is with us ,so no problem. Yes its true the Holy spirit will guide us and help us to do whatever we need to do but we should always remember that we are on a road with others. There are those who have walked ahead of us and also those who see much clearer than us. As our lives are submitted to the Spirit of God, its also important that we humble submit our lives to one another, accept the fact that we don’t know it all and open our hearts to help and correction. We should be willing to wait in patience, watch and learn, allow to be led by others as we humbly walk on this road of the cross.

So guys lets stay on that road knowing that we haven’t arrived, accept all the dealings of the cross in humility and patience. Our faith is on the Glory which is yet to come, when we meet with our Lord
in heaven Amen.
