I have been greatly tested in the area of faith this past week for several days. It was not a headache, or trusting the Lord for a sunny day so I can go play touch rugby - or anything like that. It was different, concerning my decision and what I had felt in my heart before. The bible talks so much about faith but we always think that faith is something we do, don’t we? In John 20:24-29, we see an example, how good old Thomas didn’t have faith to believe that Jesus had risen and didn’t believe until he had seen, and so he believed by sight and not by faith. But Hebrews 11:1 explains it. In the times we are living in, we need to live more by what the Lord has done and has put in our hearts and not by what we see around us, what makes sense to our natural mind. So next time your faith is challenged and you are not sure believe God, go with what he has put in your heart and not what you see.

Hi Tuts. That is well said. We are often no better than ‘old good Thomas’ as you rightly put it. We often have to see things with our own eyes to believe. Faith is all about the state of our hearts. We always need to have the right attitude of hearts. In the World, man is lead by his mind but We people of God, we listen to our hearts and that’s what builds our faith.

Faith. It is very simply as the Bible says in Hebrews 11 v 1 “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” We have incredible examples set before us from the Bible such as Abraham, Joseph, David and in the New Testament Paul and the other Apostles etc. To me Jesus was just an awesome example of faith. He totally abandoned his life to the Father, trusting in His plan and giving His life to that plan. Even today we can see examples of men and woman of faith and these people greatly encourage but also challenge me to continue to take the road of the cross and to allow the Lord to deal with my life so that I can too become a woman of faith, lead by the spirit and ultimately being a daugther in the church. I believe that situations and circumstances that come our way are opportunities for the Lord to use to help us become more established in our faith in Him and His plan for our lives. I continue to trust the Lord to build me in this critical area of my life.

Hello Tuts,
I do not miss an opportunity to log in on this site and check the newest blog. They are all so encouraging and full of truth when it comes to the gospel of the Cross and the dealings of the Lord in our lives. I’m not only learning a lot from you guys but I’m also being blessed. I have recommended the site to many of my christian and non-christian friends as well. Hope that they can also benefit from it.
As for me, you will notice that I usually access the site at odd hours during the night mainly as these are the times I can log in. Anyways, I’m under the impression that this site will grow as new comers will log in and participate.
God bless you.
