When you give your life to the Lord, it means He can do with your life whatever He wants.
You know sometimes as young people we can be really enthousiastic to serve the Lord and we enter every plan we see without knowing if it is what the Lord wants for us. Of course it is good to be enthousiastic and to be motivated to serve the Lord but the Lord has prepared “good works” for us, like the Bible says in Eph. 2v10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Let me give you a little personnal example: I came to Mauritius for the International Conference, I can tell you I was so excited in my heart. As I could only stay for one week I wanted to make the most of it. I was determined not ewen to miss a second of every meeting. But on friday morning at ten o’clock there was a meeting. At ten to ten an elder of the church phoned me and asked me if I could come at his place to take care of a sick brother… and miss the meeting. In my chest my heart just broke and I turned myself to the Lord and asked why I had to miss the meeting. On the phone the elder was really in the spirit, he knew exactly what was happening in my heart and told: You know this is also serving the Lord, and aren’t you studying medecine to serve the Lord with it?
He was so right, so I went to his place, and looked after the brother who was actually sleeping so I did nothing at all, but in my heart I felt a deep peace and the Lord really spoke to me, I was so encouraged. I knew I was where the Lord wanted me to be. It is the best place to be and I long to be wherever the Lord wants me to be, even if it doesn’t pleases my flesh, and I am sure it won’t please my flesh because it is the only way to deal with it.
The Lord is good and He has a wonderful plan for each one of us.

It’s so true!
Sometimes we want to be in places where everybody is..but it might not be the plan of God for us! We must release and trust Him that where He wants us to be is the right place! According to our understanding, we should be there, but His ways are not our ways! Thank God!
